“I’m only here for racing. All the other bulls**t I can do without. If you took away the cars from Formula One, I would not be there. Formula One plays no role in my personal life. I have a real life! I think for many people, their life is Formula One. For me it’s not.”—Kimi Raikkonen (Bild am Sonntag)
yes but I think it´s unfair, why they follow someone and then unfollow another day, I mean they can see your blog and then they can see you like F1 and if there is somebody, who don´t like F1, then they haven´t follow you, or football or I don´t know
Yeah well, let them have their fun. Though it is a bit annoying because I was just about to be all ‘yay i have this and this much followers’ and then poof, let’s not party then. But as I said, let them have their fun.
Q:Why do you always wear a cap and sunglasses, even when there is no sun?
Kimi:I like caps and I like sunglasses. I have very sensitive eyes so I have to protect them with the sunglasses.
Q:Have you ever got something special from your fans?
Kimi:I receive a lot of gifts from fans… they can be really inventive and it makes me smile. They remember my birthday, they send their congratulations and their supporting slogans in Finnish. That’s something special, isn’t it?
Q:Why you don’t have a twitter account?
Kimi:Well, I don’t really like twitter... or facebook. I prefer privacy.
Q:What will be your revenge against Sebastian Vettel after what he did on the podium? Did you see the pictures?
Kimi:Yeah I saw that, it was funny. The revenge will come soon enough, I hope! Getting on the first step of the podium would be a good start.
Q:Who’s better at badminton, you or Sebastian Vettel?
Kimi:I keep on winning! It’s something like 100 to 0 so far...
Q:What situation makes you nervous on the race track?
Kimi:If somebody is doing something really stupid. But luckily right now the grid is very talented!
well, Kimi kinda drove for Red Bull in WRC, so…everything is fine xD btw, I think I’ve never drunk a Red Bull from a glass O.o
I do sometimes. It makes me feel all fine and cool and something :D (And I admit, I did a Red Bull/Jägermeister mix from that glass earlier, so I just decided to drink the rest of the can from it too :D) Oh and right, Kimi + Red Bull + WRC, I didn’t think of that. My mind is too much in the present. Besides, Kimi + Seb mix sounds a lot more fun :)
In a joint press conference this morning, Kimi Raikkonen and reigning F1 Champion Sebastian Vettel declared they are now BFFs (best friends forever) after an emotional weekend of bonding in Bahrain.
After a tense weekend of F1 being in the spotlight, Vettel said there was little to do in Bahrain due to tight security and it’s because of this that he grew close to Raikkonen as they spent more time together.
“Kimi and I had a fantastic weekend away together” explained Vettel. “We had some real quality time away from the track and we shared some really special times together. With both Kimi and I finishing on the podium, it could not have been a more fitting way to finish our special getaway together.”
Raikkonen finished in second place behind Vettel and admitted he could have passed but could not bring himself to take the win from his new BFF. ”I had one chance to pass” explained Raikkonen. “I could have out-braked him into turn one but I could not stop thinking about when the two of us were playing Risk until 4am the previous night. He let me win South America without putting up a fight. I felt I had to return the favor and so let him keep the lead.”
The close relationship between the two drivers was noticed by other members of the Red Bull team including team principal Christian Horner “It’s great that Seb has got himself a new BFF. He has really struggled since his falling out with Timo [Glock]. The two of them used to be inseparable but when Timo stopped texting, Seb became really agitated and lost form at the start of the season. It’s great that he has someone to play with now in his spare time, we should see the Vettel we are used to again now.”
To me, Formula 1 is like a drug. Once you have a few tastes, you’re hooked. You suddenly can’t imagine life without it. It dominates your mind, leaving you wondering and praying it for it to have it as soon as possible. You’d give up so much for something. You’re addicted and once you’re addicted, it’s almost impossible to not want it or need it any more.
Questioner:You didn’t explain why you had to pull off at the end.
Sebastian Vettel:Well, I think I wasn’t the only one…
Q:But that was another thing altogether…
SV:I don’t know.
Q:You were just told to pull off?
SV:Yeah, I think it’s not the first time you saw that. It was a very quick race, the pace was extremely high, we had no time at any stage to rest, so a lot of pressure always from behind. So pushing hard and yeah, I was too exhausted to do the in-lap!
